The Boot
This new Backcountry version is a blend of our favorite materials and style. Softer and quieter than other Backcountry variants, yet more water resistant than our safari boots like the PH, the Bronze Chamois Backcountry spans the gap between two of our most popular models. Wear on safari, stalking hunts, moderate hikes, or on the daily. This is a boot that you won't want to take off.
The Leather
Made from supple Horween Chamois leather, the backcountry will have minimal break-in with comfort right out of the box. Our favorite leather for African hunts, chamois patinas beautifully and holds up well in the field.
The Construction
With our famous Double Vamp Moccasin construction, the Bronze Chamois Backcountry is considerably more water resistant than the Professional Hunter, while still being lightweight and flexible. Like our other Backcountry models, this boot features hand molded oak-leather heel counters lock your foot in place and help prevent rolling an ankle in uneven terrain. A Poron sock liner provides shock absorption while Army Studs and a pull loop make this boot quick to pull on or off.
The Sole
The natural rubber Lactae Hevea outsole both incredibly quiet and comfortable. Bolstered by the support of our Double Stack Midsole, this combination is great for hunts, light hikes, and daily wear.
